These Terms of Use govern your use of MarkView. By using MarkView, you agree to these terms.
Use of the App
MarkView is provided as a lightweight, local-first Markdown reader. You may use it to open and read supported Markdown files, including .md, .markdown, .mdown, and .mkdn files, from your device, the Files app, selected folders, or the system Share Sheet.
MarkView's Share and Action extensions are limited to sending supported Markdown files into the main app for local, read-only viewing.
You are responsible for the files you open, the content you read, and how you use the app.
Read-Only Design
MarkView is designed as a read-only Markdown reader. It does not intentionally modify your Markdown files.
However, you are responsible for keeping backups of important files and documents.
No Account Required
MarkView does not require an account or login.
External Content
Markdown files may contain remote images, external links, email links, or other third-party references. If those resources are loaded or opened, they may leave MarkView's local reading workflow. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, or content.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse MarkView, attempt to disrupt the app, reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, or use it in a way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.
Availability and Compatibility
We aim to keep MarkView reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Markdown file, device, operating system version, or third-party file provider.
Disclaimer
MarkView is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, files, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of MarkView.
Privacy
Your use of MarkView is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
